Below are the answers to the questions we have been receiving about the Reverse Holiday Parade. If you still have questions, please email us at execdir@wausauevents.org
Q. Do I have to be in a vehicle? A. YES. No foot traffic is allowed. Vehicles only will be allowed in AND there must be a seat belt for everyone in the car.
Q: Where is the Parade Entrance? A: The entrance is located at Garfield Street. The Parade takes an immediate right and winds through the park. Please follow and adhere to all traffic signals that evening.
Q: Are any roads blocked off? A: 7th and 6th avenues will BE BLOCKED OFF and inaccessible. Please use 5th, 4th or 3rd Avenues to access Garfield Street from the North.
Q: Where do I drop my toy donation for Toys for Tots? A: A volunteer will come to your car with the goodie bag and coloring book. They will hand that to you through your window and if you have a donation, they will take it then. Please stay in your car. Volunteers will be masked.
Q: Do I have to get a Goodie Bag/Coloring Book? A: No. Simply leave your window up and mouth No Thank you or do a hand gesture indicating you do not want one.
Q: Can I stop and view a float? A: No. We need traffic to continue to flow through to ensure all vehicles view the parade in a timely manner. Think of it this way - if you randomly stop in the line at Culver's and don't continue to move when you have room, everyone behind gets mad. Same concept. Please keep pace!
Q: When will the parade close? A: The last car in line at 7:50pm will be able to view the parade. A Police Car will follow that vehicle indicating that is the last one. PLEASE be there on time.
Q: How long will the line be to get into the park? A: We hope no more than 20 minutes but have no way of knowing. Patience please!
Q: Can I roll down my window while viewing the parade? A: Yes! There are many floats that have music! PLEASE stay in your vehicle. Failure to stay in your vehicle will result in your vehicle's removal from the parade route.
